(Middleburg Heights) - The first patients have begun arriving at MetroHealth's new community health center in Middleburg Heights.
The Middleburg November Family Health Center is located right off I-71, and offers MetroExpressCare, imaging, primary care, and specialties including cardiology, neurology, orthopaedics, obstetrics and gynecology, dermatology and ophthalmology.
Patients will also have access to physical and occupational therapy for rehabilitation.
MetroHealth's Dr. Christine Alexander says the 57,600-square-foot building was contructed to embrace the patient with its curvey lines, and lack of sharp angles.
The new location will replace MetroHealth’s busy health center in nearby Strongsville, where patient demand has required expansion of services.
The $23 million project was funded with Build America Bonds that MetroHealth issued several years ago.
The MetroHealth Middleburg Heights Health Center is expected to break even in its second year and the local economy will gain 60 jobs, such as nurses and technologists.
