(Cleveland) - Protests and vigils are being held around the country, including Cleveland, following the acquittal of George Zimmerman. A jury found George Zimmerman not guilty in the death of Trayvon Martin.

A noontime rally was held Monday outside the Justice Center. Many were carriying signs in support of the 17-year-old shooting victim.

Martin was killed last year by Zimmerman, a Florida neighborhood watchman.

Zimmerman Saturday was found not guilty of all charges in Martin's death. Protestors are urged to wear hoodies and bring Skittles in honor of the 17 year old Martin. Martin was wearing a hoodie and had Skittles in his possession when he was fatally shot by Zimmerman in central Florida.

At the Cleveland rally, protestors held up Skittles chanting, "Who died for Skittles? Trayvon!"

Rally organizers across the country have been chanting "Boycott Florida," holding signs reading 'end white supremecy' and raised their fists in the air in a show of solidarity.

"I was actually very upset with the verdict considering all the facts that came out and as an African-Aamerican male how the judicial system comes down hard on blacks and stuff it was injustice," said Marc Thomas in Columbus.

Thomas organized the 'Travyon Martin Injustice Run' in Columbus and asked the group to wear all black for a three mile run to show their outrage over the verdict. But participants were very quick to say regardless of the jury's decision, violence is not the answer.
