Arrest made in hate crime incident


(Cleveland) On Tuesday Michael McGrath, Chief of the Cleveland Division of Police, announced the arrest of a male wanted on a Robbery Felonious Assault warrant. The arrested male is a 17-year old juvenile from Cleveland’s west side.

The arrest warrant was issued as a result of an investigation by the Cleveland Division of Police First District Detective Bureau involving the Robbery Felonious Assault of Jared Fox, which occurred on Saturday, August 31, 2013, at W. 93rd & Detroit Avenue at 11:50 p.m.

The juvenile was arrested Tuesday without incident by First District Detectives. After booking the male will be conveyed to the Cuyahoga Juvenile Detention Center.

The Cleveland Division of Police is requesting the public’s help in locating any other possible suspects that were involved in the attack. The Division is asking that anyone with information contact the First District Detective Bureau at 216.623.5118.
