(Cleveland) - 23-year old Tribe flame thrower Danny Salazar gets the start tonight.
The Tribe battles the Tampa Bay Rays in the American League Wild Card game at Progressive Field. The winner goes to the American League Divisional Series, the loser starts the off season.
Salazar, a strong-armed righty, burst onto the scene for the Indians this year. Tribe play-by-play man Tom Hamilton told 'Wills and Snyder' that Salazar is mature beyond his years.
Hamilton says Salazar does not act like a rookie, showing a great amount of composure on the mound.
Hamilton has faith in Salazar, citing the success of then-21 year old Jaret Wright who had a stellar outing in game-7 of the 1997 World Series against the Florida Marlins, a game the Tribe lost in crushing fashion.
