(Cleveland) - "This season's been much better than any of us envisioned."
That's Indians play-by-play man Tom Hamilton's take on the 2013 Indians and their run to the post season.
Hamilton was on with Mike Snyder and Bob Frantz Monday morning to recap the four-game sweep of the Houston Astros that's left the Indians with a 1.5 game lead for the second wild card slot.
Hamilton says it all begins with Manager Terry Francona who keeps the team loose. "Now you see the value of a guy who's been there/done that," says Hamilton.
Hamilton also credits the veteran players like Jason Giambi for also keep the mood light and the younger players loose. Hamilton says he doesn't think the team will tighten up with six games left.
As for the Indians pitching, Hamilton says they're #2 in the American League since the All-Star break. The Indians will also be getting Justin Masterson back, and may use him out of the bullpen for a few games to get some innings in.
