(Rocky River) - Indians closer Chris Perez has pleaded no contest to marijuana charges…and was then found guilty by a judge.
Perez and his wife Melanie were back in Rocky River Municipal court Tuesday.
Perez was fined $250 fine, sentenced to one year probation and ordered to speak to Rocky River students about the dangers of drugs. He will also be subjected to random drug testing.
Perez did not speak after court.
Three months ago, police and postal supervisors say Melanie Perez accepted a package that had been mailed to their house which contained about 164 grams of marijuana.
A later search of their house found drug paraphernalia.
