(Cleveland) – The Cleveland Catholic Diocese says the Most Reverend A. James Quinn, Auxiliary Bishop Emeritus of Cleveland, died Friday morning of apparent natural causes.
According to a Diocese news release, Quinn passed away at his residence in Saint Ladislas Parish in Westlake. He was 81.
Quinn was born on April 8, 1932. He was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Cleveland in May of 1958. He was appointed as an Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of Cleveland in October 1983.
Quinn was ordained as Bishop on December 5, 1983 and he retired in June of 2008.

Funeral arrangements for Bishop Quinn have not been finalized.
