(Cleveland) - Warmer temperatures, smelting snow, and rain are sparking concern among leaders in Lake County about the potential for flooding this weekend.
Lake County EMA director Larry Greene is keeping an eye on the cities of Eastlake, Painesville, and Fairport Harbor.
Greene tells Newsradio WTAM 1100 they are putting procedures in place in case evacuations are needed, but so far, he's not expecting any major problems.
He is urging residents to keep an eye on their neighborhoods, and to closely follow local weather forecasts this weekend.
WKYC-TV Meteorologist Bruce Kalinowski isn’t expecting a lot of rain this weekend, so that would help ease flooding chances, but warns the risk is still there.
