(Parma) - School leaders in Parma are investigating two possible cases of measles in the district. The potential exposures happened between April 28 and May 2.
One case is being investigated at Parma High School, the other at Thoreau Park Elementary School.
A Parma Schools spokeswoman says they will not have confirmation as to whether the cases are actually measles until next week.
Precautions are being taken to clean the potentially impacted buildings. Measles is a highly contagious viral illness with symptoms including fever, runny nose, loss of appetite, rash and cough. It's spread through the air by infectious droplets.
