(Northeast Ohio) - About 57 couples tied the knot at Cleveland's Tower City on this Valentine's Day.
The largest number of couple since the Cleveland Municipal Court started holding such ceremonies.
Andrew and Erica Tischler of North Olmsted decided to jump at the opportunity to get hitched on Valentine's Day before hundreds of people in downtown Cleveland.
Erica says they originally planned to get married in June, but quickly moved the date up.
After they ceremony, the couple returned to their jobs, with Andrew explaining that even though he and Erica are now one, they still have to earn money.
Noel and David Kelly of Lakewood were married after the Tischlers.
David seemed to be taken aback by the experience of being married in front of so many witnesses.
Noel admitted she was the one to popped the question, with David quickly accepting. They are planning a family celebration in Michigan this June.
Local couple Shawn Bonner and Twilica Clay were one of many couples who will be getting married on Valentine's Day.
They tied the knot at Akron Municipal Court.
The couple met in high school but didn't reconnect until a few years later after Twilica moved to Florida and Shawn ran into a friend at a wedding.
The friend sent Twilica a picture and then Twilica called Shawn and the two began a long distance relationship.
Eight months later Shawn drove to Florida on a cold February day with a U-Haul and brought Twilica and her two children back to Northeast Ohio.
Shawn proposed on August 14th last year and promised Twilica that six months later they'd be married.
Six months happened to be February 14th 2014 and February is significant to the couple because that's when Twilica moved back to Cleveland.
Shawn says he looks forward to celebrating the day of love with his new bride and their family all gathered at Akron Municipal court to witness people proclaiming their love for each other.
