Browns top candidate; Adam Gase

  • Attended Michigan State University from 1996-99.
  • Worked three years at LSU under Nick Saban as a defensive graduate assistant.
  • Began NFL career with the Lions as a scouting assistant in 2003 until 2005 when he became an offensive assistant.
  • Became Lions QB coach in 2007 and coached Jon Kitna to a 4000 yard passing season.
  • Went to Denver in 2009 as their wide receivers coach, moved to QB coach in 2011, and became offensive coordinator in January 2013.

In his first press conference after being named OC in Denver Gase said about his offense. "We're looking to go pedal to the metal, play as fast as possible, be aggressive, and score as many points as possible."

Well the Broncos did what Gase said they would do. Denver became the first team in the history of the NFL to score over 600 points.

Yeah, but he had Peyton Manning. True, but we aren't asking a record breaking offense. Well not in 2014. We want someone with a plan, and more importantly a winner!

I like his coaching pedigree and what he did with Kitna in 2007 for a bad Detroit team. At this point will we trust anyone Haslam / Banner hire.
